Cowboys baseball team returns home

Connors State baseball team, which is 5-3 for the season returns home from a Texas trip to battle defending national champion Iowa Western at 3 p.m. on Friday. The two clubs will meet again at noon on Saturday and the Cowboys then will go against visiting North Central Missouri at 2 p.m.

The Cowboys and North Central Missouri will then play at noon on Sunday.

The Cowboys split with North East Texas 2-1 and 3-2 on Tuesday at Mt. Pleasant, Texas. In winning the second game the Cowboys’ Kyle Worthington (2-0) tossed a complete game, allowing two runs on four hits and striking out seven.
