Cowboys Fall to Carl Albert in 13th inning

Carl Albert Community College scored two runs in the 13th inning to defeat the Cowboys 11-10 at Poteau on Tuesday. The Cowboys, who are 30-16 on the year, will battle Northeastern A&M Friday at  7  p.m. at Biff Thompson Field.

The Cowboys took a 10-9 lead in the top of the 13th after Matt Oberste and Tyler Wheeler reached base on walks. Brodie Ross then doubled to score both Oberste and Wheeler. Ross finished with four hits and three RBIs for the game.

Wheeler had a three-run home run in the eighth inning, his fourth of the year. Oberste connected for a two-run homer in the fifth, the 14th of the season.
