Cowboys' Home Runs Blast Carl Albert
Connors State blasted three home runs en route to a 9-1 victory over Carl Albert Community College Monday at Biff Thompson Field in an Oklahoma Collegiate Athletic Conference contest.
The Cowboys improved to 27-13 on the season and will play Coffeyville Community College at 6 p.m. Tuesday night at Biff Thompson Field.
Kameron Kopczynski hit a three-run homer in the eighth-inning and Matt Oberste hit a two-run shot in the first inning and Brody Ross a solo homer in the sixth inning to power the Cowboys to the win. Cowboys’ Chris Tavares added two hits and three RBIs in the victory.
Jake Fisher pitched eight innings to pick up the victory. Fisher allowed just one run on two hits as he struck out 14 Viking batters.
