Cowboys Lose Heartbreaker
Connors State sustained a heartbreaking 11-10 loss to Seminole State in the 10th inning when the Trojans’ Cody Ferrell singled home Wes Helms for the winning run at Biff Thompson Field Saturday in Warner.
The Cowboys return to action on Monday against Carl Albert Community College at 6:30 p.m. at Biff Thompson Field. The Cowboys will enter with a 26-13 season record and 5-5 Oklahoma Collegiate Athletic Conference record.
Cowboys’ Cody McBride in relief took the loss in the Seminole State game. He is now 0-1.
Cam’Ron Summers led the Connors hitting attack with two base hits, scored twice and had two RBIs.
Connors State’s Tyler Wheeler tied the game in the ninth inning at 10-10 with a two-run double.
