Cowboys Split Doubleheader With Northeastern A&M

Connors State split a twin bill with Northeastern A&M Friday at Biff Thompson Field and will take a 3k6-17 record into Saturday’s 2 p...m. doubleheader at Miami.

Jake Fisher took the win in the opener as he his 5-3 on the year going seven innings, striking out five, giving up just six hits as the Norse scored only two runs.

Cowboys’ Brody Ross had two RBIs and score two runs with Eric Baker scoring a run for CSC.

Connors fell in the nightcap after holding a 4-1 lead in the sixth inning, losing 8-4. Tyler Wheeler had two hits with two RBIs. Jake Barton had three hits with an RBI.

Jordan Morales pitched seven innings, giving up four runs on five hits. Dusten Knight took the loss and is now 2-3. He pitched three innings, allowing three runs on three hits.
