Cowboys Sweep Arkansas Baptist
Connors State Cowboys swept Arkansas Baptist 10-0 and 4-3 Friday at Biff Thompson field to improve to 32-16. The two clubs will meet today at 1 p.m. for a doubleheader.
Cowboys’ Kameron Kopczynski drove in three RBIs in the opening game and. Matt Oberste, Heath Holliday each drove in two RBIs. Kyle Wormington now 7-1 pitched five innings, allowing three hits and struck out three to get the victory on the mound.
In the second d game Clint Spratlin went seven innings to get his fourth win against a loss, allowing five hits and struck out four.
Tyler Wheeler and Tyler Muse had three hits each with one run scored. Cam’Ron Summers had two hits. Cody McBride pitched two scoreless inning of relief and struck out two for his first save of the season.
