Cowgirls Lose Twice

Connors Cowgirls fell twice to Western State Thursday in Altus, losing to the Lady Pioneers 5-3 and 2-0 in Oklahoma Collegiate Athletic Conference play.

The Cowgirls are now 27-26 on the year and will play at Rose State Saturday at 2 p.m.

Hayley Jaynes went seven innings and took the loss and is now 12-12 on the season as she scattered three hits in the loss. Bailey Neel had two hits and scored one run, and Lauren Pittman had one RBI for the Cowgirls, which had four errors in the contest and managed only seven hits.
Jordan Jones and Lauren Robertson combined to pitch a no-hitter and eight strikeouts, but four errors in the second game cost the Cowgirls.

Jones (6-4) pitched five innings and gave up the two runs, Robertson pitched two scoreless innings of relief.
