Cowgirls Split with NEO
Connors State’s Hayley Jaynes tossed a two-hit shutout in the opening game of a doubleheader in posting a 2-0 victory over Northeastern A&M on Sunday. In the nightcap the Cowgirls fell 4-0 to the Lady Norse.
Connors is now 25-23 heading into today’s game with Carl Albert at 2 p.m. at Poteau.
In the first game with NEO Alyx Solo blasted her fifth home run of the season in the second inning for a 1-0 Cowgirls lead over the Lady Norse.
Connors’ second run came on a bases loaded walk to Rachel Criner, which forced home Hannah Hamilton.
Hamilton and Paige Boling collected three hits each in six at bats in the twin bill.
