Cowgirls Still Alive in Region II Tournament

Connors State Cowgirls remain alive in the Region II Softball Tournament defeating Eastern State in the opener 4-3 before losing to No. 1 seed Northeastern A&M 3-2 at Hall of Fame Stadium at Oklahoma City.

The fifth-seeded Cowgirls will have to fight their way back through the losers bracket to reach the championship game on Sunday.

The Cowgirls will play Rose State at 11 a.m. Saturday in an elimination game. A win will put them in a 3 p.m. game against the winner of Carl Albert and Northern-Tonkawa.

The remaining teams in the winners bracket are Northeastern A&M and Western State.
