Cowgirls to Play Eastern State in Region II Tournament

Connors State Cowgirls received the fifth-seed in the Region Tournament that begins Friday at Amateur Softball Association Stadium in Oklahoma City.

The Cowgirls (28-30) will play Eastern State at 1 p.m. Friday. Connors State will then play at 5:30 p.m. Friday win or lose against either Northeastern A&M or Northern-Tonkawa.

Cowgirls outfielder Paige Boiling was named to the Region II first team. Shortstop Lauren Pittmen was named to the second team.

Outfielder Hanna Hamilton and catcher Alyx Solo were named honorable mention.

The semifinals of the Region Tournament will be held Saturday and the championship game on Sunday in Oklahoma City.
