Seminole Drops Cowboys

A four run fifth inning broke a scoreless game en route to a 12-5 victory for Seminole over the Cowboys on Wednesday on the Trojans home field.

Seminole added three more runs in the sixth for the 7-1 victory. Connors and Seminole will meet again at 6 p.m. Thursday at Biff Thompson Field. The Cowboys enter today’s clash with a 25-11 record.

Jake Fisher pitched the first five innings for the Cowboys, striking out seven and scattering eight hits. He did not walk a batter in taking the loss. Fisher is 2-3 for the season.

Heath Holiday led the Connors hitting attack with three hits in four at-bats with two RBIs. Chris Tavares went 2-for-4 and Eric Baker 2-for 5. Matt Oberste connected for his 12th home run of the season.
