MUSKOGEE—Unbeaten Connors State (7-0) pummeled Mid-American Christian University Junior Varsity 119-61 Monday night at the Muskogee Civic Center.

The Cowboys return to their home floor Tuesday night to play Oklahoma Wesleyan University Junior Varsity at 7 p.m. before opening Oklahoma Collegiate Athletic Conference play Thursday in Altus against Western Oklahoma State College.

Connors cruised to a 61-26 lead at the half and the game was over at that point.

The Cowboys had 10 players get into the scoring column with seven scoring double figures.

"Offensively we are playing very well," said Coach Bill Muse. "We've had back-to-back games that we scored 119 points (two points shy of tying a single game scoring mark of 121 against Bacone College in 1994).

"But we have some things to shore up defensively. Everybody got a chance to play and get some experience.

"We'll need that (experience) when we get into some tight games with Western Thursday and then when sEastern comes to Warner," said Muse.

Caleb Riggs led the assault with 20 points, which included six from behind the arc. Cowboys finished the game with 10 treys.

Riggs was followed by Daylon Tanksley's 18 points with Jahcoree Ealy and Jordan Graham each scoring 16 points.

Jarquavious Cain poured in 15 points with point guard Callen Haydon draining 12 points with Jace Jordan adding 10 more.

Blaze Driskell led Mid-American's scoring with 16 points.

Connors hit the century mark for the fourth time this season with Haydon scoring the Cowboys' 100th point on a layup to make it a 100-49 score with 6:24 remaining.

Cain put Connors over the top when he converted one-of-two free throws 10 seconds later.
