WARNER—Connors State Cowgirls head coach Jamie Fisher has said all season his club finds a way to win games.

Thursday night at Melvin Self Field House they did once again.

Cheyenne Marshall drained a 3-point shot at the top of the circle with 2.8 seconds remaining to lift the Cowgirls to a pulsating 58-55 victory over Murray State Aggies in an Oklahoma Collegiate Athletic Conference clash.

The Cowgirls improved to 13-5 on the year and 5-1 in league play while the Aggies fall to 5-11 and 2-3.

"I told our team that this was going to be a tough game," said Fisher. "But let me credit Murray. They came and played their butts off. They were fired and ready to go.

"I told by girls that good teams find a way to win in tight situations. And that's what we've done this year.

"Cheyenne (Marshall) hit the game winning shot.  It wasn't a set play. We were surprised they came out in the zone. We were going inside, but we kicked the ball outside and she hit it.

"This team finds ways to win," said Fisher.

Saturday's game with Frank Phillips College was postponed due to the possibility of inclement weather, according to Fisher. No date has been re-set for the game.
