TONKAWA ---Connors State Cowgirls could never overcome Northern Oklahoma-Tonkawa's early advantage as they fell to the Mavericks 61-50 in an Oklahoma Collegiate Athletic Conference contest Monday night at Foster-Piper Field House.
The loss drops the Cowgirls to 13-9 on the year and 5-5 in OCAC play, while Tonkawa improves to 7-13 and 4-6 in league action.

"We are getting really bad starts and we have to stop that. "We just need to focus and bring it every night. We are not starting games with intensity," said Fisher.
Connors never led in the game, trailing by 11 points, 32-21 early in the third quarter, battled back to within five points 36-31 with 4:36 left.
