TISHOMINGO –Connors State rolled to its fourth consecutive victory with a 90-48 win over North Texas Club team in the Murray State Classic Saturday.

Cowgirls will now take a 7-1 record into a Monday clash with Bacone College at the Muskogee Civic Center. Tip-off is 5 p.m. The Cowboys will follow at 7 p.m. against Mid-American Christian Junior Varsity.

The Cowgirls led from the opening buzzer cruising to a 24-12 lead after the first quarter and stretched its lead to 30-18 at the half.

Coach Jamie Fisher then cleared his bench the final two quarters of play as the starters did not play in the second half.

"This was a feel good game for us," said Fisher. "Everyone had an opportunity to play.

"We came out with a lot of energy. It was a game where we knew we were going win. It was a game that we wanted to concentrate on getting better and we did.

"We got a lot of good scoring out of our guards, which was a major plus. We hit a lot of threes today (10)," said Fisher.

Four Cowgirls scored in double figures with Cheyanne Craine leading the assault with 15 points. Chalynn Mayes poured in 14 points, with Lauren Wright adding 12 and Caylin Livers 11.
