WARNER—Connors State Cowgirls' De'Asia Reid sophomore post from Cincinnati, Ohio, has been named to the NJCAA Region 2 second team by a vote of the region coaches.
Reid played an instrumental part in leading the Cowgirls to their best overall record (19-11) in 10 years and on the brink of their first 20-win season in 10 years.
The Ohio native has averaged 14.5 points a game this season, while leading the Cowgirls in rebounding with 8.9 per game, third in the OCAC, pulling down 249 to lead the league.
Reid is also fifth in field goal attempts 151-319, fourth in free throws 94-of-144 and fourth in blocks shots in the OCAC with 49.
Jay Niehues of Redlands was named Coach of the Year.
