Cowboys Release 2021-2022 Schedule

Warner, OK – Connors State head men's basketball coach Bill Muse has announced the Cowboys 2021-22 schedule. This season will embark on his thirtieth campaign at the helm of the cowboys with a career record of 685 Wins and 246 Loses.

"Our schedule is a challenge once again for us," Muse said. "Our schedule features games in states of Oklahoma, Texas, Kansas, and Arkansas which allows us to compete at the highest level". "Longtime rival Paris Junior College will make a return to Melvin Self Field-House this year for the first time since the 2016-2017 season," Muse said. Challenging road trips to Paris JC, Independence CC, and Neosho County CC are on the schedule this year with Independence CC returning the game to Connors State during the 2022-2023 season".

The Cowboys' first three games will be at home with Southwestern Christian coming to Melvin Self Fieldhouse for a Monday Night Home Opener at 7 p.m. on Nov. 1. Central Baptist (Nov. 2) and Mid-America Christian (Nov. 3) will round out the opening slate of home games before Connors State hits the road for a non-conference game at Paris Junior College (Nov. 6). The Cowboys continue the two-game road trip with a Tuesday Night Match-up in Independence, Kansas to take on Independence Community College (Nov. 9). The Cowboys return from Independence Kansas to start a two-game home-stand against Oklahoma Wesleyan (Nov. 10) and Paris Junior College (Nov. 13).

Connors State then heads to Mid-America Christian (Nov. 15) before returning home to open Oklahoma Collegiate Athletic Conference (OCAC) play against Seminole State (Nov. 18). After Thursday night's conference opener, the Cowboys make the short trip to Eastern Oklahoma State College (Nov. 22) to continue OCAC and begin a three-game road swing. The Cowboys travel to Arkansas Tech (Nov. 24). After spending Thanksgiving at home with families. The Cowboys hit the road to finish the three-game road swing at Neosho County Community College (Nov. 27).

Connors State returns to Melvin Self Fieldhouse to host Central Baptist (Nov. 30). The following Afternoon the Cowboys begin a two-game road swing with Oklahoma Wesleyan (Dec. 1) and Southwestern Christian (Dec. 3). Muse and the Cowboys return home to take on Arkansas Tech (Dec. 8) to cap off the non-conference slate.

The 16-game OCAC slate resumes with a home game against Redlands Community College (Jan. 6). The Cowboys hit the road for the first time in 2022 when they travel to Tishomingo to take on Murray State (Jan. 10). Connors State will return home to battle Northern Oklahoma College- Tonkawa (Jan. 13). Connors State will then head to Western Oklahoma State College (Jan. 17) for a one game road trip before returning home to take on Northeastern Oklahoma A&M (Jan. 20) and to host the Jets of Northern Oklahoma College-Enid (Jan. 24). Following the brief stop at home, the Cowboys head to Seminole, OK. to play Seminole State (Jan. 27).

The January slate of games comes to an end with Eastern OK State College (Jan. 31) making a stop at Melvin Self Fieldhouse. February starts with a road stop at Redlands Community College (Feb. 7) before returning home to take on Murray State (Feb. 10).

Connors State ends OCAC play with two home games and two road games. The Cowboys go on the road to Northern Oklahoma College- Tonkawa (Feb. 14). The home portion of its regular season schedule concludes with Western Oklahoma State College (Feb. 17) for Sophomore Night. The cowboys close the regular season with a two game road trip to Northeastern Oklahoma A&M (Feb. 21) and Northern Oklahoma College- Enid (Feb. 24) before heading to the Region 2 Tournament.

The OCAC Region 2 Tournament will take place March 3-5 at Oklahoma Baptist University inside the Nobel Complex in Shawnee, Oklahoma.
