Connors State Cowboys Defeat Oklahoma Wesleyan In High-Scoring Affair
There were runs aplenty on Tuesday, as Connors State Cowboys outshone Oklahoma Wesleyan 18-7. Connors State Cowboys collected 15 hits, while Oklahoma Wesleyan had seven. Oklahoma Wesleyan scored one run in the top of the fifth on a solo home run to left field by Keith. Five more Connors State Cowboys runs crossed the plate in the fifth inning to extend the lead to 16-6. Anderson Fenwick hit a solo home run to right field, Nash Jeffus tripled, scoring three runs, and Matteo Mendes singled, scoring one run. Cade Cometti stepped on the hill first for Connors State Cowboys. The righty allowed two hits and three runs (zero earned) over three innings, striking out seven and walking one.
