Gallo’s Power On Display As Connors State Cowboys Defeat National Park College
Jordan Gallo hit two home runs and drove in eight as Connors State Cowboys defeated National Park College 17-2 on Monday. Gallo homered in the third and fourth innings. Connors State Cowboys were the first to get on the board in the first when Seojin Kim singled, scoring two runs. Connors State Cowboys scored eight runs on six hits in the top of the second inning. Brooks Hasenclever singled, scoring one run, Gallo doubled, scoring three runs, Kim singled, scoring one run, and Christian Suarez homered to left field, scoring three runs. Gallo homered to left field, scoring three runs in the top of the third for the Connors State Cowboys. Connors State Cowboys added four more runs in the top of the fourth inning on three hits. Maddox Edwards singled, scoring two runs, and Gallo homered to right field, scoring two runs. Ty Anderson earned the win for Connors State Cowboys. The hurler gave up three hits and two runs over three innings, striking out one and walking two. Beaver started on the mound for National Park College. The starting pitcher gave up five hits and six runs over one and one-third innings, striking out two and walking one. Cade Cometti tossed two innings of no-run ball for Connors State Cowboys in relief. The pitcher surrendered one hit, striking out three and walking one. Connors State Cowboys accumulated 17 hits in the game. Landon Holzhauer, Edwards, Hasenclever, Suarez, and Kim each collected multiple hits for Connors State Cowboys. Connors State Cowboys ran wild on the base paths, accumulating three stolen bases for the game. Connors State Cowboys were sure-handed and didn't commit a single error. Holzhauer made the most plays with five.
