Connors State Cowboys Walk It Off Against NEO A&M

It came down to the wire on Tuesday, as Connors State Cowboys grabbed the victory in walk-off fashion, 7-6, over NEO A&M. The game was tied at six in the bottom of the eleventh when Logan Hedrick singled, scoring one run. Brooks Hasenclever collected three hits in four at bats in the win. Hasenclever doubled in the eighth inning, doubled in the first inning, and singled in the ninth inning. Connors State Cowboys opened the scoring in the first after Luke Beeler lined out, scoring one run. NEO A&M jumped into the lead in the top of the third when Descarreaux grounded out, scoring one run, and Marin homered to left field, scoring two runs. Connors State Cowboys tied the game in the bottom of the third thanks to a single by Keshav Tebeck, and a fielder's choice by Marc Nellis. NEO A&M took the lead in the top of the sixth. Mitchell singled, scoring one run, to give NEO A&M the advantage, 4-3. Connors State Cowboys took the lead in the bottom of the eighth inning after Maddox Edwards grounded out, and Hasenclever doubled to center field, each scoring one run. NEO A&M took the lead in the top of the ninth. Lalonde tripled, scoring two runs, to give NEO A&M the advantage, 6-5. Hasenclever singled down the left field line, which helped Connors State Cowboys tie the game at six in the bottom of the ninth. Cade Cometti earned the win for Connors State Cowboys. The right-handed pitcher allowed three hits and two runs over four innings, striking out eight and walking five. Jayden Gould stepped on the bump first for Connors State Cowboys. The starter surrendered five hits and four runs (three earned) over seven innings, striking out 12 and walking two. Max opened the game for NEO A&M. The starting pitcher gave up nine hits and three runs (two earned) over six and two-thirds innings, striking out four and walking three. Connors State Cowboys accumulated 17 hits in the game. Landon Holzhauer, Tebeck, Hedrick, Seojin Kim, and Beeler each collected multiple hits for Connors State Cowboys.
