Suarez’s Big Day Propels Connors State Cowboys Past Ozarks
Christian Suarez drove in six runs on three hits to lead Connors State Cowboys past Ozarks 15-0 on Monday. Suarez hit a home run to left field in the third inning, scoring three, doubled in the sixth scoring three, and doubled in the fifth scoring one. Connors State Cowboys scored 10 runs in the third inning on the way to victory. Maddox Edwards singled, scoring two runs, one run scored on another play, Luke Beeler singled, scoring two runs, Beeler scored after tagging up, Suarez homered to left field, scoring three runs, and Logan Hedrick hit a solo home run to right field. Diego Ramos earned the win for Connors State Cowboys. The right-handed pitcher gave up three hits and zero runs over five innings, striking out seven and walking two. #1 took the loss for Ozarks. The pitcher went one inning, surrendering 10 runs on four hits, striking out one and walking two. #37 stepped on the hill first for Ozarks. The starting pitcher allowed one hit and zero runs over two innings, striking out one and walking one. Beau Billeck threw one and two-thirds innings of zero-run ball for Connors State Cowboys in relief. The righty gave up zero hits, striking out three and walking none.
