Connors State Cowboys Cannot Hold Onto Lead Versus Seminole State Trojans
Connors State Cowboys could not hold onto the lead against Seminole State Trojans on Thursday and fell 9-4 despite leading by four at one point. Connors State Cowboys were the first to get on the board in the first when Logan Hedrick hit a solo home run to left field. Connors State Cowboys added to their early lead in the top of the third inning after Brooks Hasenclever doubled to center field, Keshav Tebeck singled down the right field line, and Luke Beeler grounded out, each scoring one run. Seminole State Trojans jumped into the lead in the bottom of the fifth when Simon singled, scoring one run, and Restine doubled, scoring three runs. Jayden Gould started on the bump for Connors State Cowboys. The right-handed pitcher allowed nine hits and five runs over six innings, striking out seven and walking four. Moore stepped on the bump first for Seminole State Trojans. The pitcher allowed five hits and four runs over four innings, striking out four and walking three. Connors State Cowboys's Landon Holzhauer, the number nine hitter, led Connors State Cowboys with two hits in four at bats. Tebeck, Hedrick, Hasenclever, and Beeler each drove in one run for Connors State Cowboys. Connors State Cowboys were sure-handed and didn't commit a single error. Holzhauer made the most plays with eight.
