EL RENO--Connors State exploded for 57 second-half points to rollover host Redlands Community College 105-88 Thursday night in an Oklahoma Collegiate Athletic Conference clash Monday night.
Connors had six players score in double figures lead by Mason Jones' 24 points. Ra'Shawn Langston poured in 20 points with Zaph Bobb scoring 14, Bishop Coulter 12, Darius Roy 11 and Terrance Jones 10.
The Cowboys improved to 16-2 on the season and 4-1 in OCAC play, while Redlands falls to 10-7 and 2-2.
Connors returns home Thursday to battle Northern Oklahoma-Enid at Melvin Self Field House. Tip-off is 7:30 p.m.
The Cowboys leading by just two points at the half 48-46 overcame a barrage of three-point shots (10) by the Cougars to romp past Redlands in the final 20 minutes.
"We had a tough time guarding them on the three shots," said Connors head coach Bill Muse. "We had a bad matchup, but we adjusted. Their 3-point shots kept them in the game the first half.
"We had six threes and they outscored us there, but we had a mismatch in the post. But Mason Jones played really well and we had balanced scoring, which is what we strive for," said Muse.
Redlands' scoring was led by Chauncey Thomas' 24 points with Bobby Arthur adding 18, A.J. McNeil 13 and Christian Wassana 11 points.
