The 26th ranked Cowboys remain unbeaten (6-0) and will resume play Friday night at Melvin Self Field House when they play host to Oklahoma Wesleyan University Junior Varsity. Tip-off is 7 p.m.
"We had five guys in double figures which is good," said Connors head coach Bill Muse. "Defensively we have to continue to improve. We got back late last night from Dallas which I expected to play like we did to open the game."
Connors was just nine points short of tying the all time points scored in a game. The previous mark was 121 against Bacone College established in 1994. The Cowboys tied the mark in their opening game of the season when they defeated St. Gregorys University JV 121-69 on Nov. 1st.
The Cowboys had five players to score in double figures led by Bishop Coulter's 26 points, his most productive night as a Cowboy.
“Bishop Coulter was really, really good tonight and I am glad to see that from him,†said Muse.
Following Coulter in the offensive onslaught was Terrance Jones with 21, Ra'Shawn Langston 16, Burke Putnam 11 and Darius Roy 10.
Connors surpassed the century mark in scoring for the sixth time this season. Terrance Jones put them over the 100-mark plateau when he drained two free throws with 3:43 remaining in the game.
Cowboys broke open a tightly played opening 11 minutes of the first half with an offensive explosion.
The two clubs battled to a 23-23 deadlock at the 11:18 mark, when the Cowboys outscored the Eagles 25-6over the next nine minutes to grab a commanding 48-29 advantage.
Connors led at the half 55-35 as Langston and Roy scored 10 points each to lead the offensive assault.
Adam Pavlow led the Eagles scoring with 19 points, with Dejoun Sanders scoring 14, with Tanner Thorpe and Trey Clary scoring 11 each. Richmarr added 10 points in the loss.
