Cowboys Sweep Coach of The Year and Player of The Year in Postseason Awards
Connors State Sophomore Bradyn Hubbard from Tulsa, Oklahoma, Sophomore Donyae May from Russellville, Arkansas, Buddy Hammer Jr from Westville, OK, Freshman Khamani Cooper from Pine Bluff, Arkansas, and Head Coach Bill Muse have been named to the Region 2, Oklahoma Collegiate Athletic Conference All Region Team, All Freshman Team, and COAC Coach of the Year it was announced by a vote of the coaches on Friday Afternoon.
WARNER, OK—Connors State Sophomore Bradyn Hubbard from Tulsa, Oklahoma, Sophomore Donyae May from Russellville, Arkansas, Freshman Buddy Hammer Jr from Westville, OK, Freshman Khamani Cooper from Pine Bluff, Arkansas, and Head Coach Bill Muse have been named to the Region 2, Oklahoma Collegiate Athletic Conference All Region Team, All Freshman Team, and Coach of the Year it was announced by a vote of the league coaches on Friday Afternoon.
Cowboy Head Coach Bill Muse was voted the Coach of the Year for the 16th time in his career at Connors State. The last time coach muse won the award was in 2018 when the Copwboys won the OCAC Regular Season Championship and advanced to the 2018 NJCAA National Tournament Elite Eight.
Cowboy Forward Bradyn Hubbard was named the OCAC Player of the Year after his outstanding performance during the Regular Season and in Conference Play. Hubbard averaged 25 points per game on the season, which is good for 6th Nationally. Hubbard also averaged 10.4 rebounds on the season which is 10th Nationally. He was NJCAA National Player of the Week for November 15-21.
May, who is the Cowboys' Point Guard, averaged 12.3 points, but in conference play averaged 15 points.
He ranked in the top 10 in assists at 190 and top 30 in 3 point field goal percentage at 45 percent in the NJCAA.
Hammer averaged 14.0 points this season, while grabbing 221 Rebounds for 7.4 rebounds a game.
He ranked number sixth in rebounds per game, and second in blocks in the OCAC Conference.
Cooper averaged 11.7 points this season, while shooting 46.9 percent from the field on the season.
He ranked in the top 15 in 3 point field goal percentage, and top 5 in Free Throw Percentage in OCAC Play.
