Dormu Signs with Tarlton State
DJ Dormu has signed to play basketball for Tarlton State University Texans, it was officially announced today by Connors State's Men's Basketball Head Coach Bill Muse and Tarlton State Head Coach Billy Gillispie.

He has competed at the JUCO DI level and competed in the National Tournament Championship Game, so he knows what it takes to win at a high level. In addition, DJ adds a great ability to score and make plays for his teammates. He has all of the winning qualities we covet for our team."
Dormu helped lead the Cowboys to a 32-4 record and an appearance in the Championship Game of the NJCAA National Basketball Tournament after earning the No. 17 national seed in the event.
The 5-foot-11 point guard from Washington, DC started 26 of the 36 games, directing an offense that put up 78.0 points-per-game on the season. He averaged 12.4 points, 3.4 assists, 3.2 rebounds and 1.3 steals per game, shooting 38 percent from the floor, 34 percent from three-point range and 79 percent from the free throw line.
He posted season-highs of 30 points, collected as many as 9 rebounds in a game and handed out as many as 8 assists – including 5 or more on nine occasions.
The Washington, DC native attended Putnam Science Academy where he helped lead the Mustangs to multipul conference championships.
