Mason Jones to play with the Sacramento Kings in the NBA 2K26 Summer League
One of the most electric players in college basketball during the 2019-2020 NCAA season, former Connors State College Cowboy standout Mason Jones will be playing with the Sacramento Kings NBA Summer League team in the NBA 2K26 Summer league in Las Vegas, Nevada.
Warner, OK- One of the most electric players in college basketball during the 2019-2020 NCAA season, former Connors State College Cowboy standout Mason Jones will be playing with the Sacramento Kings NBA Summer League team in the NBA 2K26 Summer league in Las Vegas, Nevada.
During the 2017-2018 season for the Connors State College Cowboys, Jones saw action in 35 games and started 26 games in his lone season for the Cowboys. The 2020 SEC Player of the Year, Jones saw action in 65 games with 56 total starts during his two-year career for the Arkansas Razorbacks from 2018-2020.
Jones who was selected 2nd Team OCAC during his Freshman season in Warner averaged 16 points per game on 52 percent shooting. Jones also connected on 43 percent of his three-point attempts in leading the Cowboys to the 2018 NJCAA National Tournament Elite 8.
In one of his final games as a Cowboy, Jones scored 33 points against Northeastern Oklahoma A&M in the Region 2 Tournament Championship game. With the win, the Cowboys won the automatic bid to the 2018 NJCAA National Tournament. Following the game, Jones was named the Tournaments Most Valuable Player.
In his one season in the Orange and Black, Jones lead the cowboys to their 5th straight Oklahoma Collegiate Athletic Conference Championship, Second straight Region 2 Tournament Championship, and Second straight NJCAA National Tournament appearance where the Cowboys advanced all the way to the Elite Eight as the #12 Seed.
After going undrafted during the 2020 NBA Draft, Jones signed a two-way deal with the Houston Rockets. Jones finished the 2020-2021 NBA Season on another two-way contract with the Philadelphia 76ers. During his stint with the Houston Rockets, Jones was a key contributor to the Rockets off the Bench. He exploded for a season-high 24 points against Greg Popovich's San Antonio Spurs on January 16th, 2021 inside the AT&T Center which was Jones's first NBA Start in his young professional career. During his first season in the NBA, Jones averaged 5.3 points per game on 43 percent shooting from the field. During his second Season, Jones was on a 2 Way Contract with the Lakers and was names to the 2022 NBA G-league 1st Team All Conference after averaging 25.5 points per game, 6.8 rebounds, 6.1 assists, and 1.6 steals with the South Bay Lakers. Jones missed most of the 2023 NBA Season with a Broken Foot that caused him to miss majority of the regular season. When Jones broke his foot he was averaging above 15 points per game for the Stockton Kings. During this past season Jones helped Lead the Stockton Kings to the #1 Seed in the NBA G-League Postseason Tournament where they were unfortunally upset in the Conference Finals to the Oklahoma City Blue. Jones was named to the NBA G-League 2nd Team this past season and was in the Top 5 in voting for Player of the Year.
Jones appeared in 5 games during the 2024 NBA Season with the Sacramento Kings and put up a season high of 6 Points in 5 Minutes against the Dallas Mavericks in what jones calls his Homecoming Game back infront of his family inside the American Airlines Arena on March 26th, 2024. In the five games Jones appeared in he averaged 1.4 points, 1.0 rebounds, 1.0 assists, and shot 25 percent from the field. Jones was very aggrissive driving the ball and causing fouls.
Jones appeared in 10 games this past season with the Sacramento Kings where totatled a season high of 9 points in 8 Minutes of Game Action against the Orlando Magic on February 5th in Sacramento. During the G-league Season Jones was named the 2025 NBA G-League Finals MVP and First Team NBA G-league after helping lead the Stackton Kings to the G-League Finals Championship. In the ten games that Jones appeared in he averaged 2.3 points, 0.9 rebounds, 1.1 assists, and shot 50 percent from the field.
This year's MGM Resorts NBA Summer League will take place in Las Vegas, Nevada inside the Thomas and Mack Center and Cox Pavillion. The games tip-off on July 10th and run through July 20th. The Sacramento Kings and Mason Jones will open play on July 10th against the Orlando Magic inside the Cox Pavilion on NBA TV at 6:30 pm Central Time.
