Cowboy Soccer Releases 2025 Schedule
WARNER - The Connors State men's soccer team has announced its schedule for the 2025 season.
Adam Skolnick, who started the team in 2023, will lead the team from the dugout for a third season. He is joined by assistant coach Richard Benge, who returns for his third season and continues his work with the goalkeepers.
The Cowboys enter 2025 after losing in the first round of the Region 2 Tournament for a second consecutive year and finishing the season with an overall record of 5-9-1.
The 2025 schedule features home and away matches against all six Region 2 opponents and two matches against the reserve teams of local NAIA programs.
Connors State will officially open the season on August 27th when they travel to Tishimingo for a match-up against reigning Region 2 and South District Champions Murray State. The Cowboys remain on the road on August 30th for a match-up against Oklahoma Wesleyan's reserve team in Bartlesville.
After the first two games, Connors State will have a three-game homestand beginning September 7th when NOC-Enid comes to town. The homestand will also feature the home match against Region 2 runners-up Eastern Oklahoma State on September 10th, and the home edition of the A&M Derby against NEO on September 14th.
Other notable games on the schedule this year include the away match at NEO on October 19th, the home finale on October 22nd against Rose State, and the regular season finale on the road in Oklahoma City when the Cowboys will battle the MACU reserve team on October 25th.
The Region 2 Tournament will be held at the Advance Soccer Complex in Enid from October 30th through November 2nd.
