Soccer Releases 2024 Schedule
WARNER - Connors State Soccer has announced its schedule for the 2024 season.
Head coach Adam Skolnick returns to lead both programs and will look to build on a successful inaugural season that saw both teams earn their first wins and the men's team make the Region 2 Tournament. He is joined on the touchline by second year assistant Richard Benge.
The Cowboys and Cowgirls will open up the season with a pair of non-regional matches, starting on the road at UA Cossatot in the season opener August 22. The teams will open up their home schedule August 28 against Mountain View.
Region 2 play starts on September 1 with the A&M Derby as NEO comes to town. The teams will then go on the road for matches at Murray State (Sept. 4) and NOC-Enid (Sept. 11).
The women will return home with a game against Redlands (Sept. 15). September 18 will feature a highly anticipated match up against Rose State, the first match between the two men's teams since the Raiders knocked out the Cowboys in sudden death extra time at the 2023 Region 2 Tournament.
The first half of the Region 2 schedule wraps up by the end of September, with both teams traveling to Rich Mountain (Sept. 22) and hosting Eastern Oklahoma State (Sept. 25) and the women traveling to reigning South District champions Seminole State (Sept. 29).
The return fixtures begin October 1 with the away leg of the A&M Derby at NEO. Sophomore Day is scheduled for October 20 when both teams host Rich Mountain. The men will conclude regular season play October 23 on the road at Eastern Oklahoma State while the women will host Seminole State October 27 to finish out their schedule.
The men's Region 2 Tournament and women's South District Tournament will be played at the Advance Soccer Complex in Enid from October 31 - November 3.
