2025 Women's Soccer Recap
WARNER, OK - The 2025 Connors State women's soccer season saw several positives despite the disappointing record.
The Cowgirls started the season with several positive results, including a draw in the season opener against NCAA-opponent University of the Ozarks, and the team built upon that with a first-ever draw against NOC-Enid and a win against Eastern Oklahoma State College in our non-regional matchup.
After the positive start, the team struggled due to the small roster and finished with an overall record of 1-11-2, and 0-11-1 in Region 2. Despite the struggles, the team set a new season record for shutouts in a season with three, and sophomore goalkeeper Romina Camacho finished second in Region 2 and 22nd in NJCAA Division 1 in saves with 83.
Every field player appeared in every match for the team, with Madison Kidd and Lily Johnsey scoring goals for the team. Despite the difficult season, the future is bright as the team will return 4 field players who played in every match, including Kidd, and the two returning goalkeepers each recorded shutouts in the 2025 season.
The team will return to training in February, and will play a limited spring schedule to be announced later in the semester.
