Ty Frierson is a 6-0 Guard from Tulsa, Oklahoma (Tulsa Memorial High School) is a transfer from Hutchinson Community College.
During Frierson's senior season at Tulsa Memorial High School he earned the following acculades: 2022 Oklahoma Coaches Association All State. 2022 Bill Knight Player of the Year. 2022 Conference MVP, All Region MVP. 2022 Oklahoma Player of the Year. 2022 Max Preps Player of the Year. 2019 and 2022 OSSAA Class 5A State Champion. 2022 Faith 7 All Star Game. At Tulsa Memorial High School he averaged 18 Points a game, 4 Rebounds, 8 Assists, and 5 Steals.
At Hutchinson Community College he had a career high 27 Points against Pratt Community College. Frierson had a career high 8 Rebounds against Labette Community College and 5 Assists against Fort Scott Community College. Frierson helped lead the Blue Dragons to several early season vicotories over NJCAA Preseason Ranked #7 Triton College, and Northeastern Oklahoma A&M.

The Connors State Cowboys, who got no respect on a national level despite a sterling season, won their third straight game at the National Junior College Athletic Association championships Wednesday night, blowing out the host Hutchinson Community College Blue Dragons 91-69.

Sophomore Combo Guard Ty Frierson from Tulsa, Oklahoma, has been named the Region II Division I Player of the Week for his play Dec. 4-11 it was announced Tuesday. This is the Cowboys third Region II Player of the week, as Bradyn Hubbard, and Donyae May won the award a couple of weeks before.

But Western State, which had played the Cowboys tough in two regular season losses, knocked off Connors in the opening round of the tournament 93-87.
